St Julien Boulder's Hotel
Boulder, COMy Boulder Home
Just because I moved away from Boulder doesn't mean I don't frequently need a place to stay there anymore. My love for the St. Julien can be illustrated by the fact that after a two-month trip to Africa, my girlfriend and I went straight from the Denver Airport up to Boulder to the St. Julien to 'refresh' before heading back up to the mountains. It's expensive, but sometimes, it's necessary.
Table 6
Denver, COMy Comfy Dining Room Away from Home
Simple menu. Cozy, intimate atmosphere. Great for those rainy/snowy nights. Tip: if you have a big party, call ahead and ask for the back room--you'll be treated to you're own personal dining room, and you'll feel like you're not at a restaurant, but in someone's personal dining room for a dinner party.
Colt & Gray
Denver, COColt & Gray Opens Soon!
Set to open in on August 18, 2009, Colt & Gray is getting me excited to head over to the Commons Park area. My buddy Brad Rowell is the head chef, and has some great experience under his belt from his days chefing in New York. The restaurant takes the form of a gastropub (kind of like The Spotted Pig in NYC)--haute cuisine in a pub atmosphere. I've seen the inside of the restaurant in it's construction stage, and it's something special. Can't wait!
The Kitchen
Boulder, COMy Favorite Restaurant -- The Kitchen
The Kitchen is my favorite Restaurant for a lot of reasons: simple, non-pretentious atmosphere; staff who remembers your name and your favorite table; "The Kitchen Upstairs" bar with best beer menu and a lighter menu offering for any night of the week; the best, simplest (in a refined way), french-inspired, locally sourced cuisine I've encountered; family-style dining options that allow you to connect with people in the community who enjoy good food as much as you do; and the list goes on...
Frasca Food & Wine
Boulder, COTop 5 Boulder
Chef knows his Northern Italian cuisine. Staff takes annual trip to Italy to learn about cuisine and wine, and it shows. Food is simple, delicious, and paired with some of the best service I've had--anywhere.
