Moonlight Restaurant, Alton, IL - Moonlight Restaurant, restaurants - Moonlight Restaurant, Alton, Illinois
Moonlight .....since 1934

You can get steak and chops any where. This is the place to go for chicken. It lives up to thier claim "best in the west and all the rest". They have a 4 star ambiance, an honest pour, generous entrees and a wine list that will not embarrass you. I doubt you will have room for dessert, or get hurt picking up the check.

Roma's Pizza

Forget Chicago

This is the best pie downstate and it's all about the crust. Thin is in. Has'nt changed much over the years, but you can tell they switched to QLC (cheese) from thier earlier days. Still it's addictive. Even when the place is packed, it's the fastest stone in the west. Get the two pie special....one for show and one to go. If you like cold pizza in the morning like I do, you can thank me later.

The old standby

Simple concept...consistant, hard to mess up. Drink prices moderate, Limited menu being dirt cheap for a reason. Smoker friendly patio that's heated in the winter. Live local music...it's a good time, if you like garages. (about a block from the cop shop, so don't be stupid)

Cafe Venice

St Louis, MO
This bar is a work of art

This Venice Cafe is an experience. ecclectic venue... great drinks, a unique atmosphere, talented local musicians and a patio like you've never seen before. It's like steping into a painting. This place attracts a crowd of friendly considerate people starting at the door with "the world's most dangerous poet". The place has a great vibe ...but you'll have to go....to know.
