Rancho Mirage, CAAwesome Hotel
The rooms are roomy and gorgeous. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is roomy and the tub is huge. It's a great place to stay, and it's close to the freeway, close to restaraunts and shopping, and Rancho Mirage is at the center of the Coachella Valley, so you're not far from anywhere you want to go. The plus about it being a casino is that, like Vegas, you can gamble with the casino's player's club card and use your points toward rooms, restaurants, and shopping at the casino.
