House of Blues
Los Angeles, CASunday Gospel Brunch
The Sunday gospel brunch is a really fun experience - great food (you won't need to eat again for days) and music for the soul - just be sure to make reservations. HOB is also a fun intimate venue to see bands. Street parking can be rough around Sunset - so rather than park in the House of Blues valet lot and then prepare to wait with everyone else after the show, you might want to park across the street at the Mondrian. It's not cheap either way, but at least you won't have to wait as long if you park at the hotel.
Musso & Frank Grill
Los Angeles, CAOld School Hollywood
Musso & Frank is a piece of Hollywood history. Grab a serious cocktail from Manny at the bar (he's been there for over 30 years!) and then peruse the lengthy menu of traditional (somewhat pricey) American comfort food served in plentiful portions. It's the kind of place where you and your parents will be equally comfortable and have a great time. Love the sole and the steaks. They have valet parking in the lot in the back.
The Bazaar at SLS Hotel
Los Angeles, CAA Little Bit of Heaven
A bar, tapas restaurant(s), and patisserie shared in the same general area for great mixing and mingling and people watching and indulgence. Check the LikeMe pages for Bar Centro and Rojo Y Blanca for more deets!

Rojo Y Blanca at The Bazaar at SLS Hotel
Beverly Hills, CAChic Foodie Tapas
Sample super inventive small plates in one of the sleek indoor dining areas or the pretty terrace outside. Order off both the "traditional" and "modern" tapas menus - it all goes well together. Deconstructed Caesar salad (looks like a sushi roll with quail egg), the fermin jamon platter with pane con tomate, cauliflower couscous, tuna ceviche & avocado roll (get at least one order per person - trust me), philly cheesesteak sandwich, cotton candy foie gras.... it averages about $10 a plate, so your bill will depend on how hungry (or greedy) you are!
Jar
West Hollywood, CAFoodie Meets Steakhouse
If you're a carnivore but looking for something that's more sleek supper club than steakhouse vibe, come to Jar. Chef Suzanne Tracht kills it with her dreamy take on steakhouse classic cuts and sides. Their pot roast is a universal fave, but everything is truly divine. Save room for dessert - the pudding is the bomb!
