I am a Houston native and came to cooking not by choice, but by default. In high school, I worked part-time in fast-food restaurants to earn spending money. Now, I am a 30-year veteran in the restaurant business and serve my diners sophisticated comfort food. Mockingbird Bistro is my Texas take on that French institution, the bistro.
