Madeleine Bistro
Los Angeles, CAHealthy and Tasty Food & Desserts Exist!
If you have a sweet tooth, (like I do), then visit Madeleine Bistro for a wonderful treat. I think David Anderson (The Executive Chef) is best known for his vegan desserts. My mother is a hard core chocoholic and very hard to please. She has given 2 thumbs up for David's famous Flourless Chocolate Cake. All of his desserts are tasty. These sweets may be vegan, but they leave you wanting for nothing, but more room in your tummy for an extra bite.
I suggest whatever daily special they are featuring at Madeleine Bistro. It's sure to be delightful. David is a genius and Molly Anderson (The General Manager) will make you feel right at home in their beautifully decorated restaurant. This is definitely a great place to celebrate with your close friends or that special someone.
The food is so great I know you'll be back over & over again. Everything on the menu is Vegan and über scrumptious. The Anderson's have created a wonderful environment for fine dining and raised the bar for gourmet (and especially vegetarian) splendor.

Although my favorite location is on La Cienaga, I will drop in on this location whenever I'm in Santa Monica.
The food is great and you don't have to be vegetarian to enjoy it. If you are vegetarian/vegan/raw though, you have a whole menu of selections.
I tend to have the special of the day. But my favorites are the walnut pate, for an appetizer & TV Dinner or the RFD burger. Be sure to wash it down with the Roseberry Tea.
