University Club
Ann Arbor, MIWednesday Night Comedy
If you're on a college campus at the University of Michigan, this has great stand-up every Wednesday night (at least they used to). I did that for 3 years in college every week - which makes my job on the set of NFL Network a piece of cake because I'm just talking to a camera and not trying to make 300 people laugh.
Pebble Beach Lodge & Golf Crs
Pebble Beach, CAI had a room that overlooked the 18th green. It was great because you could see the water, and you could see a beautiful golf course, and you could watch all the hackers just f*** up their approach shots. (I would totally be one of those hackers, so I really enjoyed just watching everyone suffer as I would coming up on the 18th hole of Pebble Beach). And it's dog friendly, too. I've got a beautiful rescue dog named Hudson who basically will travel if we can bring him anywhere.
Central Park Boathouse Cafe
New York, NYFavorite Special Occasion Restaurant
This is where I got married. I went for my 5th anniversary just last year. It's right there north of the Sheeps' Meadow - you can enter on both sides of the park. You walk in and you sit right in front of a lake that's right in the middle of Central Park. There's great food here, too.
Mastro's Steakhouse
Beverly Hills, CAFor a pure fire steakhouse, I love Mastro's. It's the Star Wars Cantina of LA - every facet of the walk of life of the Los Angeles scene is in here. You get actors, you can have "connected people", people who are "professionals" of all types are in here - and then just ordinary, regular people for a great steak. Mastro's is a neat spot.
