Found this pearl at the recommendation of a friend while I was there for a meeting. The place is covered with the great classic black and white photography of Fonville Winan's (which you can check out at http://www.flickr.com/photos/fonville/collections/). Winan's was a big fan of Grande Isle (the place) and it is reflected in the Grande Isle (the restaurant). Of course it's New Orleans so you can't go wrong with the Gumbo!
