Focaccia Rustica
Miami, FLPlease your palate
This is a quaint breakfast spot tucked away in Coconut Grove. Has a bohemian feel like a San Francisco coffee house. The weekend buffet is wonderful with a vast selection of breakfast or lunch items. For lunch or a snack, I recommend the vegitarian sandwich on crusty miniature french bread and the tuna sandwich. Bring a newspaper and enjoy some coffee any time of day inside, or at a table on the sidewalk.
Sandbar Sports Grill
Coconut Grove, FLBack to the basics
It seems as though people are at Sandbar 24 hours a day - it's a Grove staple since it has been around for years. College kids definitely hang out here, but it's also a generational mingling spot. Not only a fun place for specialty drinks and to watch sports, but I reommend a basic cheeseburger and a draft beer.
Cantina Beach at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne
Key Biscayne, FLDine al fresco
Located pool-side and beach-side at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne, this casual yet classy restaurant is a good idea. The Mexican-inspired restaurant has great views and fabulous food. I suggest the lunch menu, especially the Grouper Ceviche, Guacamole, and the Fish Tacos. Throw in a margarita to top it off, and you'll be in heaven.
Le Bouchon Du Grove
Miami, FLBon Appetit da France
A cozy authentic French restaurant hidden in The Grove with tons of personality. Very European feel between the service and the food. The skirt stake is to die for, and I recommend the scallops when they are available. Save room for dessert because the chocolate mousse is a must. The staff is mostly French and they always have soccer on the TVs, and did I mention the head chef is straight out of Paris?
