I’m a man who’s gotten used to the skin he’s in and what I mean by that is that I understand the limitations of the things I can do comfortably with my size, and I accept them. I prefer to be around people that I know are genuine and true and have sincere feelings towards me, which means my family and close friends. More importantly, I’m a simple man. I’ll be happy with the CD playing some John Coltrane, a stogie in my hand sitting out in my backyard watching planes fly overhead and listening to music than going out to any nightclub any time, any day.

Beautiful resort in Scottsdale

I like to recommend this resort to anyone I know who comes to Phoenix. It's top-notch and has everything you need. It's great for families or for couples who need to get away. It's just a gorgeous place. Even when you first drive onto the property, you know you're going to be staying somewhere really nice.

Favorite meal of all time

Whenever I go to Houston's, there is only one thing I ever eat off the menu. I never look at the menu. I have the order down to a tee. I order the chicken tender salad with the buttermilk garlic dressing, a side order of extra chicken tenders, one order of iron skillet beans, and if they have the cheese bread, I get that as well. That has not changed for the last 15 years.

It’s a place you can go with a group of people. The ambience is comfortable, it’s casual, it’s not too uppity, but at the same time, it’s a place where more people have heard of, are familiar with, and it has a little bit of everything on the menu for people.

When I’m in L.A., I like to hit up Urth Caffe. It’s a different taste. It’s a break from the normalcy of IHOP, Denny’s and Waffle House. People are always particular about the food and the restaurants they eat at, but when you find something that gives you a taste that’s unique, you tend to stick with it, especially if you like it.

My date place

A good date place that has always been good for my wife and me is Morton’s. We have a lot of history with the Morton’s chain. My meal is very simple – a steak and baked potato. I vary up the steaks. I go with either the Porterhouse or the bone-in cuts. It just depends on what I’m in the mood for.
