About Jacqueline

In pursuit of life! Does that not make sense? So many people cruise by in life, just to "get by"...I don't get it. I want to chase life down until I suck every potentially beautiful moment out of each day. Today I took a nap on my roof in the raw. I passionately advocate education. I crave joy. Unconventional ways > conventional ways. I'm certain that men confuse me OR men are confused. I'm interested in marketing, modeling and sipping my way through mega mamosas. Traveling the world is wild. Wild is my everything (since I don't have children, or a significant other...) I lied. Dancing wild is my everything. Visualize...tribal.... drum circle... in the middle of thick forestry.... dense fog....mad smores are roasting on the fire and dawn is about to crack. But time doesn't matter...its all about dancing to the rhythm of the universe. Yep. Totally my style. Alongside, Roberto Cavalli, Stefano Gabbana, Miucci Prada and Renzo Rosso......

Last but absolutely not fucking least-

Salvador Dali.

Jacqueline's Inside Word

Little India Restaurant, Denver, CO - Little India Restaurant, restaurants - Little India Restaurant, Denver, Colorado
Hidden Pearl

6th avenue is like Denver's own treasure box of lost culinary world wonders. Pho on 6th, Yoga on 6th and then we have Little India.... Upon walking in your state of mind is instantly defeated by an ungodly delicious aroma that saturates your senses of cumin, dried mango, tamarind and a multitude of unidentifiable other Indian spices.

First off- shout out to Little India for accomodating the gluten intolerant, as the menu is naturally celiac friendly as well as with vegan options. I find the more ethnic a restaurant is, the more exquisite - I'm not even referring to the quality of food because in all actuality the cuisine served is traditional in other words- holistically simple from beginning to end. In this case, the restaurant is described as exquisite entirely due to experiential delight: the aromatic pleasure, the words on the menu you don't understand, the foreign musical jingles in the background, the colorfully bizarre yet welcoming religious art on the wall and moreover, and last but not least, the authenticity of the ambiance that escapes you into a world devoid of the hustle and bustle that typically describes 6th avenue.

As a complete lover of beautiful detail, I highly recommend Little India not because it is a high class restaurant- well because, in fact its not, it is actually one of the more affordable places to dine on 6th, but because of that little warmth that grows in your heart that sparks right as you walk in. AND I have only experienced genuinely friendly service at LI which I am infinitesimally grateful for whenever I dine.

My suggestions are to taste the daily appetizer /meal that is not listed on the menu; your server will introduce the options to you as you are seated.

Come to Little India when it is snowflaking & you need something to warm your insides.

Much love for Little India!

Second Home

Denver, CO
Conducive for the Conversationalist!

Step into the J.W. and note how your mind drifts you from from a hotel lounge into the magic of the four elements: Fire, air, earth and water. Earth is our home, and Second Home is superbly designed accordingly. Dine in the courtyard while you are warmed by an elegant line of fire, or feel embraced by the stony walls that buttress the interior's refreshing and clean, earthy backdrop. At the north and south ends protrude these rods and attached are a pair of inconspicuous light bulbs which you will only notice if you take a glance above. The zig zag center of the lightbulb harnessed my attention, but its the detail in Second Home that is most fascinating. Down along your ankles are balloon -like lights that radiate a warm whispering prelude to an undoubtedly striking conversation.

If you're not careful, you might overlook a special part of the Second Home experience. Along the bar awaits well hidden jugs of mystery juice. Request the ever so charming bartender Dean for a swig of their exotic flavored and chocolate chunky elixir. Yes, I imagine the liquor blend has a title but regarding it as a potion just satisfies my exotic fantasy food world. thank you ;)

Their potatoes have mama's home cookin' flare amidst a sophistication that is so crisp it is only else recognized in upscale home décor guides. Squeeky sophistique!

I must take a moment to note the way the scribble sofas (as I call them because the white material looks as if it was scribbled on by a toddler) and box ottomans are situated. I stared at them for a long while until I actually saw them. They are assembled along the walls at an odd angle... as if making their glorious debut because truth be told, they are the unwanted leftovers from the contemporary art museum reject room (sold for a fraction of the original cost.) Although I would chose a different variety of music, it is never an unpleasant distraction. My only other recommendation is that Second Home involve Malbecs in their list of wines. As long as you're in the right company, this secret spot has consistent service and flavorful food options and it never hurts to meet a new face who happens to be traveling through town. On that note I can genuinely say it is my first choice to melt into a mellow night....

Viva la upside down root beer float!

Patio Love Boat

I love saying that I love being in Colorado on warm summer evenings with friends having a drink and a hearty meal out on the patio at Govnr's park located in the great cap hill community . Govnr's park always has that happy vibe.

Ode to Opal

Opal is perfect for late night sushi. I come to Opal hungry and leave satisfied. Sit down for some saki, can't go without the veggie rolls and miso soup! Love the corky wait staff personalities....

Cafe Brazil

Oh Brazil. The word itself is a fantasy. Cafe Brazil is a perfect backdrop to my fantasy with that delicious looking French man who stars in the steamy shower scene in Sex & the City to Cafe Brazil. I would order one of their colorful amazonian alcoholic beverage, sip it slowly and let the bouncy south american beat music inspire the rest of the romance for the night to turn into day.... I honestly don't remember the food I ate here, but more importantly I remember how it awakened my taste buds. I enjoyed the authenticity of this quiet spot in the highlands. Boys, if you take your lady here, make sure not to stare too hard at the exotic wait staff. When I left the Cafe I found myself wishing I could claim my heritage to South America, only if I could be a Brazilian beauty with a booty .....and a cute accent.
