The Boathouse is fantastic on a lot of levels. The food is great, that's number one, but the atmosphere is what really seals the deal at making this one of my favorite places to dine. Amazing views of the bay while eating your meal is just fantastic.

So...much...Food....

My only gripe with this place is the seating. If any of you don't like being elbow to elbow with strangers, then you may want to skip this place.....but.....the menu here is unbelievable and I haven't tried a single thing I didn't like. Also of course you have to top off the meal with some cheesecake. Yeah, I know its a gimmick, who cares, its delicious.

Usually when Ooka is already booked up, I head to Mt. Fuji. However I really am not doing this place justice by saying that. Mt. Fuji is fantastic in its own right and now that I think about it, I do so love Mt. Fuji for their fantastic Spicy Salmon Roll and nice prices compared to Ooka's. Basically its like this fellas, if you got a date and got the dough, head to Ooka, but if you're a bit strapped and would love the wonderful sushi dinner without the Ooka price than it's time for some Mt. Fuji.

A Diamond in the Rough

Don't be fooled by the appearance of this place. The regulars aren't that friendly, the place looks like its falling apart, and the servers are stocked with a bad attitude, but I guarantee your meal here will be one of the most satisfying experiences you ever have. I recommend the Lobster Tail....biggest tail you'll ever see. And if you aren't looking to spend a whole lot of cash I recommend the scallops (broiled or fried). I promise you will get filled just on eating the seafood alone, no need for sides in this place. And of course, not only are the portions of seafood generous, but the prices are very reasonable, and did I also mention its all downright delicious.
