A great place to get custom mixed ice cream. You pick the flavors and whatever gets folded in. At the end of summer, beware of the teenage help that sings unenthusiastically when you drop a tip in the jar. I mean, it wasn't my idea for them to sing but it is a fun way to torture the summer help who'd rather be elsewhere. Great ice cream.

A family favorite - we have been going every summer for the past 7 or so years. No need to leave the grounds as the private beach is 20 yeards from the hotel and there are a couple of great restaurants on premises. If you have kids, hit Legoland first and end up at the Del with Moo Time ice cream for the kids and a Babcock and Story Bloody Mary for mom and dad.

Jaipur has a great buffet during weekdays but if you like you can always go off the menu. The owner who used to be a lead chef at one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Santa Monica, knows all of his customers. Food is great, service is fast, prices are affordable.
