Three Brothers Bakery
Houston, TXIt's back!
Finally after the devastation of Hurricane Ike, Houston's Kosher Bakery that has become an institution is back. The place is unrecognizable but the goods taste like old times. Yum. Love the ginger bread men here since I was a little one.
Danton's Gulf Coast Seafood
Houston, TXSunday Blues Brunch
The Sunday Blues Brunch is awesome. It is buffet style with everything from pancakes, eggs and bacon to gumbo, fish, jumbo boiled shrimp and more. The blackened catfish enchilada (super cheesy) is divine. Make this your next brunch outing.
Ruggles Green
Houston, TXCertified Green
Ruggles Green is a certified green cafe with a nice counter service atmosphere and very tasty dishes using organic products. They have many gluten free items for those of you who look for that but overall it is a well done concept I'm happy we have in Houston. Enjoy!
Brian O'Neill's Restaurant
Houston, TXHappy Hour Steal!
The mini cheeseburger from the appetizers section of the menu is the best deal in the Village. You get a 1/4 Cheeseburger (not so mini) and a big plate of fries for only $3.00. No fixins but you can add ketchup and mustard to taste. I suggest adding some sweet tea vodka with water on the rocks to wash it all down. The $3.00 price is only during happy hour.
Benjy's #2
Houston, TXGreat Service & Great Food
We went here after my graduation and while our seating was limited because we didn't have a reservation (It was 7pm Saturday night), we got a great table on the patio and were well attended to by two waiters (one was also the wine sommelier) and other support staff. Food was excellent. I'm just ashamed that I didn't really walk around the inside to see the entire place. I now know why the cars are backed up in to the street on weekends.
