Barney's Beanery
Los Angeles, CAFootball Sunday's...
Located in West Hollywood, this place's claim to fame is that of being the location of where Janis Joplin had her last meal before dying of a drug overdose and is a place where many well known musicians hung out. The selection of beers is respectable and they have one of my favorite beers, an Oatmeal Stout by English Brewers Samuel Smith. Try the "Kobe Burger" which isn't spectacular but I have to say that the chili on the side is pretty good. Football, Football and more Football.

Lal Mirch
Studio City, CAIndian in The Valley...
At Lal Mirch the food was memorable. Ordered the Shrimp Saag and the Chicken Masala with Garlic Naan and Biryani Rice. The food was piquant and I enjoy it that way, but I probably would take it down a notch next time. The decor is nice, low key and deceivingly romantic.

Tip: They have parking in the back.

Casa Bianca was a surprise stop while on a job. The pizza was good...SOLID B+. I order the 10" house pizza (with that homemade sausage) and loved the thin crust. Frankly, what sells this place for me is the atmosphere...old-school, charming, loud, inviting, and relaxed. A great pizza dive to hang out with a group of friends and enjoy a slice - an LA slice at that.

Laguna Beach, CAAll about Surf and Sand...
If you are going to spend the night in Laguna Beach this is the ONLY hotel to consider! I have spent many a weekends staying here and have never been disappointed. The rooms are all ocean view, nicely furnished, very clean, great service, friendly front desk, and they will do everything within their power to make your stay as comfortable and care free as they can.
Their restaurant is really good as well. The food is delicious and the view is stunning!!!

Bossa Nova
Los Angeles, CALatin Cuisine...
This place SO hits the spot. I had an itch for a succulent, savory skirt steak last night and Bossa Nova scratched it. Big portions, reasonable prices, late hours, GREAT plantains, and the combo of rice/beans/salsa fresca is just delicious. Personally, I don't stray from either the skirt steak platter or the chicken platter - it's what they do best. Don't forget to order a sangria or two.
