Diner
Brooklyn, NYDiner is a really cool spot under the Williamsburg bridge that literally looks like a tin trailer. They play awesome indie music and the waiters recite the menu to you while scribbling it onto your paper tablecloth. They are really mindful of seasonal ingredients and the dishes are expertly prepared. One lucky brunch dish: eggs ratatouille!
Il Passatore
Brooklyn, NYIl Passatore is a great little Italian spot in Williamsburg off the Graham Ave stop. Pastas, salads, and meat dishes are all excellent and unique. They also serve brunch; their eggs benedict comes on peasant bread with sliced ham and their eggs are always perfectly poached! They also serve little nibbles of asiago bread with olive oil and vinegar to start and sometimes offer free shots after your meal!
Supper Restaurant
New York, NYWonderful italian food, some communal seating, but a really romantic place with natural wood. Their brunch is also fantastic - eggs with arugula, roasted potatoes, toast with raspberry butter in addition to a great french toast loaded with fresh berries.
Cafe Gitane
New York, NYFrench Cafe in NoLita
Cafe Gitane is the cutest cafe ever. All of the waiters wear adorable little aprons and they give out mini chocolates with paw prints on it with each order. In addition to amazing coffees, they have some great food; a chicken sandwich with mango and strawberry with a fresh mesclun salad and simple things like brie and apple along with avocado on seven grain toast.
Rice to Riches
New York, NYRice Pudding
This place is like a futuristic rice pudding dream house. Oodles of different flavors, served in bright colored plastic (?) dishes in NoLita.
