India Passage Restaurant
Brooklyn, NYBest Indian food around
I've been going to this place since I was 13, back then you would go in, spend 8$ and within 10 minutes you would have the meal you ordered, along with free naan, a plate of rice, extra sauce, and anything else they can think up. It's a secret gem - never crowded, affordable, amazing service, intimate, and INCREDIBLE food.
Di Fara Pizzeria
Brooklyn, NYAmazing
Di Fara's always has a line outside the door, from the moment it opens till the moment it closes - for a good reason. Dom is the only one who will touch your pizza, with his wife taking orders. The crust is ridiculously thin, the sauce is sweet, he tops it off with fresh basil (grown in the store's window) and fresh parmesan. The cheese on every pizza is fresh mozzarella, hand grated on the spot right over the pizza. The wait for your pie is about an hour (good luck ordering a slice - ha!) but it's an amazing hour if you want to stand there and converse with the people around you all watching Dominic work his magic. PS They used to have amazing stuffed zucchini flowers for a buck a pop that were absolutely AMAZING but they got rid of them :'(
