Anna's Italian Restaurant
Los Angeles, CAThis place is a straight up hood Italian restaurant. You can tell by the menus that look like elementary school book reports with clip art. But that doesn't stop the food from being good. Make sure you stock up on the complimentary bread. It's sooo good in the bleu cheese sauce (probably better than the entrees). I'd recommend maybe sharing an entree with a friend and just eating 10 loaves of bread. It's literally that good.
South Street
Los Angeles, CAThis place has bomb philly cheese steak subs. 9 inch for only $7.50 with mushrooms, onions, and cheese. Also, always make it a combo because I think it's only a dollar or two more.
Apple Pan
Los Angeles, CAThis place is old school with burgers from the 1920s. They haven't changed anything since and they really don't have to because it's awesome. I'd recommend the hickory burger with fries and either pecan or banana creme pie. Soo good.. they just need a drive through.
Gyu-Kaku
Beverly Hills, CAThis is a nice Japanese BBQ restaurant that originated in Japan (so I've heard). My advice is to always go at happy hour, which is usually 5-630pm I believe, but it varies by location. You get 50% off selective meats and draft beer for $2.
Bungalow Club
Los Angeles, CABungalow
This is a nice restaurant/bar/club to hang out at. It has two stories with a nice, relaxing bar and fancy restaurant setting on the first floor. On the second floor, there is a dance floor with another bar.
