The Inside Word for Venice Beach Boardwalk
Jessica Hardy
Female / Los Angeles, CAone of my favorite hobbies is to people watch. i can attest that there is no better place to do this than the venice beach boardwalk. grab some food and drinks at one of their local cafe's and head to the boardwalk. you can do it any way you like: strap on a pair of rollerskates, grab a bike, bring your dogs, or simply take a stroll along the row. you'll be entertained for hours.

(title to be sung like Queen song). Whenever I have people from out of town it's always a crowd pleaser to rent bikes and cruise the bike path. Go to Malibu if you want, just remember you have to ride back. A good finish is the drum circle so they are sure to know that we are a bunch of freaks here in LA LA land.

Male / Los Angeles, CAGreat for People Watching Too
Lots of interesting characters running around. The occasional bozo coming off an ecstasy high keeps this from being something I would recommend for kids.

Female / 21 / Los Angeles, CAAwesome for people watching.
Charming in the way shops are lined up for blocks on one side of the sidewalk and the beach is on the other.
Henna tattoos are fun.
Basketball and tennis courts are available.
Grab a cocktail.

Female / Los Angeles, CAA great place if you are a tourist and locals alike..
It is a great "people watching" place.. There is everything from people doing tricks on their roller blades and skateboards..and others are just riding their bike or going for a run..
I would highly recommend going to the Venice Boardwalk if you are in Los Angeles!

Male / Malibu, CAOn a nice day....
Head down to venice and find someplace to park. Then head toward the beach and you will see a couple of different places to rent bikes, they are all the same. Just grab one and head out for an amazing afternoon. Ride along the cement path on the beach, get exercise, get tan, and see some crazy stuff. Why not stop for a cocktail along the way. (Keep your bike in your eyesight). This would be the main thing to do for someone from out of town. ADVICE - figure out the way the wind is blowing and RIDE INTO THE WIND FIRST. This way, on the ride back you will be going with the wind! If you do the opposite you may be sorry you ever read this recommendation!

Female / 35 / Los Angeles, CAAn eclectic sub-section of LA: beach bunnies, artists, gangsters, street vendors, muscle men and vagabonds collide. Some of the best sight seeing LA has to offer, for both locals and tourists.
