The Tudor House has a kitschy style (complete with uniformed sassy Brit waitresses) that makes for a fun weekend tea with friends. They do an inclusive tea menu with a wide variety of finger sandwiches and tea choices. Definitely try the welsh rarebit and the crumpets. On your way out, head through the connected store to stock up on those hard to find British grocery items and a huge tea selection.

My dad is British so I grew up visiting England quite a bit - or receiving goodies from relatives when they came to the States - so I've acquired a taste for certain British brands. Although some supermarkets and gourmet stores have picked up on some of this stuff (PG Tips tea or Cadbury brand chocolate bars), Tudor House carries everything in one place. Some of my favorites include Ribena (blackcurrant juice drink - not juice, but "juice drink"), Smarties chocolates (like M&M's but better), McVities digestives, and Cadbury Crunchie bars (chocolate covered honeycomb - heaven!). They also have a bakery that serves up treats both sweet and savory, including tasty sausage rolls, scones and mince pies (a Christmas favorite). In addition to the grocery, they sell sweet little tea sets and other souvenir items. There is an adjacent restaurant where they serve a British menu with a very nice high tea.
