has a pool, views, and space-like circular bed/capsule cabanas to lounge the night away. A great reason to go downtown. The lobby cool to hang out in, too. And if you get lucky, the rooms are fairly cheep.

such a fun atmosphere among the rooftops, the centered serene pool, the amazing bar and absolutely wonderful dj's. a great place to go toward the end of your night out, to wind down and perhaps miss the pricey admission fee.

Great summertime pool parties.
Totally not recommending this as a hotel. Unless you like rooms that are used for porn, swinger parties, or have a fondness for bathing in the middle of your room visible to everyone and like foot chairs for furniture.
But, oh the pool parties. Such fun!

They have pool parties every Sunday during the summer and it's always a great time. Just beware there is a cover to get in (even for girls) and the drinks are super expensive. Also get there early if you want to find a good spot by the pool

Situated in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles this affordable hotel of cool is strictly aimed at the business traveler...or cocktails before a Laker game! The rooftop bar is excellent. Its a great vibe and I found the bartenders were actually NOT assholes. Which, in my LA experiences seems to be a 50/50 shot. The scenery is good from a literal and figurative standpoint and drink prices seem to be about average. These days the bar scene on the roof is mostly downtown professionals working out the kinks of a day at the office, but there's also artists and other cool types.
Price: $$
Tips: Not far from the Staples Center, so go attend a Laker game!!

I always enjoy getting a drink on the roof and doing a little people watching. You never know what you're going to get at night in downtown!

If you would like quite place to relax and lounge; I recommend it. They have a cool bar upstairs with conferrable sitting. I normally host parties up there or some time when I'm in town I do meetups there, grate place to have a meeting.
