It's Really Just Cool to Say You Went...

Have gone for parties over the years - with varying degrees of access to the property - and the novelty never wears off. There's the Playboy-sponsored events - but then there's a lot of other charity events, etc. that rent out the venue for their parties. If you ever get invited, you have to go. You have to take a shuttle there and back (they're really tight about cars driving up to the house), but it's totally worth the hassles to check it out, feed the monkeys, play in the game room, or just say you got in.

this place is a cultural icon. i was lucky enough to get invited to a party here through playboy.com when i was working in the advertising industry.

the party was so so but being able to visit the mansion is just cool. the best part of the evening was i started talking to a playmate and didn't even know it. since this was a work function i asked here where she worked and she said playboy. i just assumed she worked on the sales side since that is what i dealt with but then she told me she was a playmate. coool! i asked her what month but honestly it didn't matter because i don't subscribe to playboy. later she gave me a personal tour of the mansion which was really nice of her. it was great being able to get the stories of certain areas.

Like everyone else said, you have to go if you ever have a chance.

It's best to be on time because of the shuttles, if you can get parking on the property, great, but it's pretty hard to come by. The monkeys are the best!
