The Berg

Many an evening beer here post-Journalism School classes.

The 'Berg burned a few years but it's been rebuilt to more than its former glory. Fabulous roof top deck and laid back ambience that is inherent in *most Columbia bars.

If you're visiting Columbia, this should be on your list. Hands down. It is the staple college bar.

Another great place to grab some food in Columbia - burgers, fries, salads, the usual.
Sit outside on the patio (on the second floor) when it's warm and take in the aerial view of 9th Street.

Make sure to take advantage of their drink menu, too. They make great cosmos and martinis!

The Burg!

Great place to order a Boulevard and watch the Mizzou game. A staple bar and grill for Tigers.

A classic at Mizzou. Lots of alumni always ask about it. And their happy hour is really good.

The 'Burg, as it's known, is a great place for anyone to go. They have great happy hour specials, like 2 for 1 appetizers and great specials on pitchers and long islands. The food is typical bar food, the wings are delicious, and the value for the food is pretty decent. All in all, good atmosphere and decent food and drinks.

I LOVE their happy hour. We always go on Fridays. You can't be buy 1 get 1 free appetizers and great deals on drinks!

CANNOT BEAT THIS HAPPY HOUR!!

Sometimes I reflect on these times down at school when spending $2 on a beer was soooo out of the question. This place had amazing specials on Boulevard pitchers (Mondays I think) and buy one get one free appetizers were awesome! Oh how I wish I could go back there!! They did a great job redoing the place after the fire too.
