The Inside Word for The Gorge Amphitheatre

Like Red Rocks with water

Sorry Coloradans... I've lived both places. Red Rocks might be more famous, but I'm convinced that's because of its proximity to a major metro area! Fantastic place to see a major festival or one of the infamous DMB shows. Started coming to shows here at age 16 and have been spoiled for many summers since!

Unfortunately the Gorge is a 3-4 hr drive from Seattle and a 4-5 hr drive from Portland. BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT!

The parties in the camp ground area go all night and it gets COLD at night, even in the summer. Bring your layers and/or cuddle up with a loved (or liked) one.

Incredible Concert Venue

Breathtaking views and live music what more can I say. I have a ton of great memories at this place.

This is the most amazing venue ever built. I've only been here once but it was incredible. When you walk out to the top of the natural amphitheater and look out to the canyon behind the main stage with the majestic Columbia river running through it you realize you will never go to another place like this ever again! My first visit was for the Sasquatch Festival this year and it was amazing. Everything from NIN to Jane's Addiction to the new friends I met in the camp grounds to the sheer awesomeness of the line up. Everything was fantastic here!
