Is my title not enough? Eric, the chef and owner, is the bomb - he's this dude you feel like you knew from back in the day where you grew up - but now suddenly he's this big deal chef who runs his own really fun restaurant. You can book a table in the patio out back or the main room - but it's also easy to just roll in and eat at the bar or in their lounge area (where they have live music some nights - and for Sunday "brunch," which starts at 2pm - 'cuz Eric understands what time people roll out of bed after a Saturday night out). Get the homemade tater tots with your grilled cheese, and have the bartender make you a ginger fizz (which is no longer on the menu, but they'll make it if they have fresh ginger in the house - it's spicy and refreshing to cut through the richness of the meal).
Update: the bar menu has been expanded to offer real entrees - and I just recently tried the artichoke/prosciutto/goat cheese salad and mussels which were both DIVINE.
