The original Slanted Door was a neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant in the Mission. They outgrew the space in about a day b/c the food was so exceptional. Now they are located in the Ferry Building and the restaurant overlooks the Bay. The food is every bit as good and the ambiance vastly improved. Expect a wait if you don't get a reservation. Not to be missed on a trip to SF.

Used to be a hole in the wall in the Mission.
If they still have Steelhead Extra Pale Ale, it's a must with fresh spring roll.

Female / 35 / Los Angeles, CAlocated in the ferry building with a great bar and lounge. there are about 20 seats at the bar where the cocktails are as tasty as the food. sitting in the restaurant can be a little loud (almost cafeteria loud) so i really recommend eating at the bar if you are a party of 2. they also do afternoon tea and lunch. what to get: phantasm martini, spareribs, daikon rice cakes, scallops, claypot chicken, whole fish... if you love modern vietnamese, you'll love it all.

This place has the bizzomb food. Too bad they dropped their best dessert. I'll forgive them.
