This is a good comfort food place. I only go after midnight. I recommend the classic fried chicken with a waffle. Maybe a side of biscuit and gravy.

not a traditional pairing in my eyes but this is awesome. sweet and salty rolled into one! the fried chicken is crispy on the outside and still juicy on the inside. the waffles are crispy and come with a butter that just doesn't play fair because it is just tasty! this is my guilty pleasure.

Hangover Breakfast... Er, Brunch

I don't do the perfect bite here. I prefer to alternate between the crispy fried chicken and the syrup and butter slathered waffle - it's like having your entree and your dessert on the same plate. And, yes, I giggle like a schoolgirl every time I order a "succulent breast" with my waffle - but it's the way to go.

An LA Institution

There are many ways to Scoe's. I go with the Country Boy (three fried chicken wings and a waffle), a side of collard greens and a Sunrise (half OJ, half lemonade). But it's totally your call. ;)

This is my favorite place in the world. You heard me! I'm a man who can't resist a simple plate of chicken & waffles. The service is always good but it gets even better the more familiar your face becomes. I once ate here every day for a week. Scary, I know.
