It‘s October, that rare and glorious time when seasons merge and you get best of summer‘s weather along with the beginning of fall‘s greatest attraction: football. Finally, your excuse to drink to excess on Mondays has returned. And to that end, they mix Monday Night Football with tequila and sangría at Lola. Drink specials include $12 buckets or Tecate cans, and Lola‘s tasty food specials will help keep you sober; they include $8 chilaquiles or banana leaf-wrapped tamales — your choice of shrimp, chicken, chorizo or veggie — served with napa cabbage, pico de gallo, red or green chile, queso cotija, charred chiles and crumbled egg. Not your traditional football food, thank goodness!
