They do a great job. It’s always known as one of the best steak places in the country, not just in Seattle. They do a really nice job here with their steaks. Great atmosphere.

I’m a connoisseur of beef, and they have great steaks here. Good atmosphere. Great wine list, and anytime you put good wine and steak together, it’s a good combination.

Get there at 4 p.m. and you've got a killer happy hour. Cheap sliders and amazing onion rings.

There are several ways to enjoy The Metropolitan Grill, or The Met, as it is affectionately referred to as.
The first is for Happy Hour, considered one of Seattle's best that runs from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and serves up such delicious treats as Three Beef Dip sandwiches at $2 (yes, for all three); $2 Raw Oyster Shooters (an Oyster in a shot glass with crushed ice, cocktail sauce, and horseradish served on the side); or go more deluxe with things like the deeeelicious Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin Skewers served with this wicked sauce and crispy onions for $5. *a little tip: The Works Burger for $5 at Happy Hour is the same as that of the $14 one they serve outside of Happy Hour. Get there early as it does fill up fast.
The second way to enjoy The Met, which also involves the bar area, is to enjoy one the amazing drinks served there: personally for me it's the Smokey Met Martini - a splash of scotch in the mix, but there are a host of drinks that can satisfy and take the "blahs" away. Of course this doesn't mean you can't enjoy the killer food at give away prices during Happy Hour.
Lastly and the best way to enjoy The Met is to dine there. The prices are comparable to other Steak Houses in the city but the quality is near, if not at the top. I can only compare The Met to El Gaucho on First Avenue where the penguins serve you although the two establishments are very much different.
The atmosphere at The Met is roomy and very 'old school' with a lot of wood and marble - it used to be a bank ages ago. The food is divine - steaks are incredible serving the real deal Kobe Beef from Japan, the service is exceptional, and coupled with the atmosphere and friendly staff, it is sure to make your visit to The Met a memorable one. You might even want to come back the next night!
