The rooms and the spa are amazing. It's relaxing and such a welcome relief after a day in South Beach. The service is phenomenal and it is definitely my hotel of choice when I am in Miami. The surrounding area used to be mostly businesses and condos, but they are starting to open some bars and nice restaurants which makes going into South Beach more of an option and less of a necessity.

This is another one of those have your cake and eat it too kind of hotels - close enough to South Beach that you can go check out the nightlife, but far enough away that you can escape if you just want to chill out. Par for the course with Mandarin Oriental properties, they have those big beautiful bathtubs that straddle the bedroom and the bathroom. They've got a gorgeous spa that I recommend taking advantage of, and I also love the restaurants (great sushi at Cafe Sambal and amazing Mediterranean/Asian fusion at the fancier Azul). If you want to sun, the pool has a beautiful view of Brickell Bay, and they also have their own stretch of private beach. Relax and enjoy!
