Great snow, good snowfall, great terrain, super nice park and mostly blue skies and fresh powder... cannot beat that for California. This is personally my favorite mountain to go as it is close to LA, has easy access and provides great overall conditions. I have been a member of the mountain for few years now and have enjoyed some exceptional snowfalls and storms. The mountain offers a diversified terrain for all experience levels. Chair 9 and Dragon back are personal favorites. Cornice is one of the best runs, but it could get windblown and icy on the top... so be careful. The village of Mammoth also offers great selection of restaurants and places to stay from luxury hotels to cheap condos. I recommend you get your buddies and rent a condo somewhere walking distance to Canyon or Eagle Lodge.
