Male / Dallas, TXYou have to watch a night game for LSU. The crowd, the Southern people.... you'll drive through there for a 7 or 8 o' clock night game, and people will be tailgating in the streets by the stadium at 7 in the morning. It is off the charts. A must see and a must do - even if you hate LSU. That's when you know it is that good.

Female / 27 / Baton Rouge, LAThere is nothing that comes close in comparison to Saturday night in Dealth Valley, the home of LSU Football. LSU football is truly unique. Something about Louisiana gets in your blood, makes you bleed purple and gold, and intoxicates you (literally) with its sweet Southern comfort. LSU Football isn’t just a part of our city of Baton Rouge. It isn't just something that people are “fans” of, wear t-shirts to show pride for or tailgate at games to pass a good time. LSU is more than that…it IS Louisiana. It is the kind of place that houses 96,000+ fans in the stadium and the same number if not more outside the gates enjoying the game from their tailgate spots where the bourbon, beer, jambalaya, gumbo and crawfish etoufee are plentiful. It represents an integral part of our culture and mandates the social calendar of our state. In Louisiana, there are 4 seasons: Hunting, Crawfish, Fishing and Football. It is everything Bama isn't...Ole Miss's worst nightmare. A Southerners wish and a northerners dream. The pride and joy of the Great State of Louisiana. A place where every fan bleeds purple and gold, and would rather be in Death Valley than anywhere else on a Saturday night.

Home of the 2007 National Champion LSU Tigers. There's just no place like this place on a Saturday night. In a close game, with a worthy opponent, the sound is deafening. Crowd roars have actually been recorded on a nearby seismograph on campus. The fans show up early on gameday and welcome anyone and everyone who needs a bite to eat or a cold drink. Fans are as passionate as you'll find on any campus across America.

One of the greatest football experiences you can have in the country. A saturday night SEC battle under the lights. Of course the day starts way before that with the massive tailgate scene. Great people and great regional food. Jambalaya from the truck was awesome. And the fried pickles should be sold everywhere. Ate some alligator just to say so. And there was some booze around. One word of advice...plan your exit. I ending up hitch hiking!

for your exit strategy! Get to the game early to tailgate and enjoy some fried pickles and alligator, but traffic afterwards is a nightmare and taxi cabs are about as scares as LSU losses.
