It's simple Mexican food at its best. EVERYTHING here is so good. I'm not a vegetarian, but my favorite is the mixed burrito with three different ingredients - mushrooms, potato and corn/zucchini. I think you have to ask for the three-ingredient burritos because I don't think they're on the menu. They have the best chicken nachos. If there is a long line, you can sit at the bar if there is a space and get served right away. They only take cash. I love going to the Farmars Market to eat and hang out when the weather is nice, which is pretty much every day in L.A. It's great people watching, and I love the bar next to Loteria. I'll go by myself and throw back a few. I always meet people, and they have a TV for sports and cheap beer specials every weekday. A Hollywood location is now open with full bar service.

one of the best mexican stands in LA. parking is like mall parking, the place is very busy and is located inside the farmers market. things to get: veggie burrito, poblano chicken enchilada, quesadilla, green rice, black beans, horchata, chicken nachos.

Probably my favorite Mexican in the city. The shredded meats for their tacos and burritos are stewed to perfection (I normally prefer carne asada in beef tacos - but the shredded beef here is insanely good) and they make their own corn tortillas. Whatever you get, ask for the hot sauce - I usually douse it on my entree as well as use it as a salsa for my chips. Great black beans and green rice with mint. Grab a beer from the bar in the adjacent stall and enjoy the Farmers Market atmosphere!
