have you looked at it?

i haven't stayed there, of course, being a local. but it's worth checking out merely for the architectural interest. stop by alibi while you are at it. just not on a weekend. although if you brave the lines chances are you'll see a celebrity.

I miss Boston!

Stayed here twice, it's newly built or re-modeled so there were a few bugs but nothing that wasn't dealt with quickly by very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms, my friend had a suite that was amazing, Small but adequate gym. It's built in an historic jail and the lobby, bars, and restaurant all make use of the old cells and iron bars which makes for interesting decor. The downstairs bar seemed to be "the place to be" on thurs-sat nights. Very convenient location, the "T" subway system stop is right across the street and pretty much the entire town is a $10 cab ride away, we would have walked to restaurants if not for the 30 degree winter temperatures.

Used to be the Charles Street Jail

This place rocks! From the moment you arrive, the service is outstanding. You take an elevator up into the wide open lobby where it's fun to just hang out and grab drinks. The rooms are nice and you get free internet -- a big plus! If you're into products, you know Molton Brown is top-notch, and they have full-size Molton Brown products in the shower and also travel size in the tub. There is a cool courtyard with comfy couches, etc. to hang, eat and drink. I LOVE the free bikes they offer for use especially because Boston is an awesome city to explore that way. I love the area it's in -- Beacon Hill -- and you have to go to Paramount just up the street for breakfast. Seems like they always have some party or event every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so it's always packed.
