This is a great place to stop in for amazing pastries and baked goods, early or late. We often go in the morning for coffee and a light breakfast. Many a night I have run down here with the kids to satisfy a wicked sweet tooth. The space if perfectly laid out, the shop is bright and airy.
It's not cheap and it sure is good.

Female / 46 / Phoenix, AZClean kitchen and clean bathrooms
The (ladie's) bathrooms are furnished with industrial style sinks--interesting. There are several entrances to the restaurant/convenience store and one is through the kitchen, which is always clean. (Two signs for the cleanliness of service/food is how clean the kitchen and bathrooms are kept.) I've been going to Le Grande Orange since it opened it's doors. It has an outdoor patio and is dog friendly. I usually go for b-fast and love their (seasonal) pumpkin oatmeal (with butter & cream). I've started making my own Birchermuesli at home based on their's. Their baked goods and especially their English muffins are tasty. The pizza next door is comparable to other touted pizza places in town and I like to order mine with an egg broken and baked in the middle (HEH! don't knock something until you try it). Le Grande Orange is expensive but feels very Martha Vineyard--or at least New England ish (Portsmouth/Kittery). They play great world music--though too loud.
