Guinness on draught and lots of Scottish whiskey...who could ask for anything more?

Owned and operated by the McAleese family, who opened the place after moving from Belfast in the early 80's. I guess what makes this place special is not the beer selection or even the food (though it is delicious, especially the homemade soda bread), but the convivial, friendly, boisterous atmosphere. And, the live Irish folk music, to which you can unashamedly sing along. Even if, like me, you can't really sing.

Guinness on tap do I need to say anymore? Fun Irish pub in the old alley at Pike Place Market.

This is by far the best Irish pub that I've found in the Seattle area. They have live music every night after nine so there's always something happening at the Kells. And if you're into Seattle's sordid past the building used to house the city morgue so they've got that going for them...
