The folks from Rustic Canyon kick it down a notch at this delicious bakery with simple eats. Don't be scared by the crowds - by the time you order at the counter, there should be an open table to grab for you to await the staff who will serve your food. Try any of the sandwiches on their heavenly freshly baked bread - and note, their whole grain bread is just as light and soft as a white loaf, not that cardboard you may have gotten accustomed to from "healthy bread." The sweets are amazing and not too sweet - if they haven't sold out of donuts, grab one. The cookies are also divine. They offer call-in ordering with its own pick-up area, which is a great idea for anyone short on time. A self-parking lot (with valet if it gets too crowded) is in back shared with the neighboring Santa Monica Seafood - where you might want to pop in to get some insanely fresh fish while you're there.

Why this place is packed on Sundays.

Diet break day. You could really fall off your regimen at Huckleberry. Don't even look at the menu and don't waste your time with the salads. You want the buttery sugary baked goodness next to the cash register. Just point (and drool) at whatever looks best. It's always worked for me!
