This old Hilton was gutted and completely renovated in 2006. They added a residence and updated the rooms significantly. I stayed at the Palomar one night to check it out and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms are decorated to just my taste and the staff was on par with any five star hotel.
The Trader Vic's located downstairs had been closed for 20 years and originally opened in 1967. They renovated and reopened it with the Palomar in 2006.

This hotel is really pretty inside and is close to Mockingbird Station and the SMU campus. The spa is amazing.
