Amazing Sushi

Another fantastic sushi restaurant tucked into a strip mall. It's great for either lunch or dinner - but definitely make reservations because this place gets packed (and, if you're a big party or have a special occasion, you may want to request the semi-private Mike Ovitz table) - get to know Everett and Abru (the host and hostess) and they'll always take good care of you. Toshi, the fabulous and flamboyant owner, works the room and may even send you an insane "welcome" dessert with a spun sugar sculpture if you tell him it's your first time. There's great quality fish and ever changing rolls (some named after their celebrity clientele) - I change it up every time, but always order the Magic Flute (tuna handroll wrapped in cucumber) and the G6 (mixed fished handroll with tempura crunchies) - and if you're in the mood for omakase, be sure to order with Hisao. They have a great sake selection (let Toshi bring you something good) and bring you fresh fruit even if you don't have room for dessert. This is the kind of place that really takes care of regulars, so if you go and you like it, keep going back - you won't be sorry!

i actually hate to recommend Hamasaku only because i don't want more people to know about it... it is honestly the best sushi in all of LA. order a "magic flute" hand-roll, crab handroll, lobster "crunchy" roll, on & on.. so good. the cooked food & chocolate cake are also fab.

Don't come here. Stay away. It's so good and getting so crowded! Nicest service in town. Become local enough and you just might get a roll named after yourself. Or a little sign with your name on it that rests on your table upon your arrival

Best sushi I've had in LA. This place holds a special place in my heart because I had it when I first learned about LikeMe. All I could think while eating was that this was going to be the first place I recommend!
