Classic Cocktails and the best french dip sandwich I have ever had.

I went looking for the Night Owl Cafe on 6th. It was well past closing time, and the Night Owl (J&J's Sandwich Shop for you non-Ellroy readers), was shuttered. No black coffee and grilled cheese for me--but across the street, I had what amounted to the best French Dip sandwich I ever had, accompanied by the best Old Fashioned I ever tasted.
