The Inside Word for Chautauqua Park

Chautauqua might not be too "off the beaten path," but if you're looking for an easy hike that's easily accessible from right in town, Chautauqua's many trails are the way to go! Great place to take guests too...

Male / 19 / Denver, COA must do while in Boulder. Hike the Arches trail. It's about 45 min each way depending on how fast you hike!

If you need a quick hike and good scenery (especially if you have out-of-town guests), go to Chautauqua. I recommend the Ski Bump Trail and Blue Baird Trail. You can also access Gregory Canyon from Chautauqua and park for free. The 2nd Flatiron Hike is also a good one, but make sure to bring plenty of water because it is all uphill. My favorite time of day for hiking Chautauqua is in the evening because it's cooler and there are less people. Also, snowshoeing in the winter here is great!

The setting is most memorable at the foot of the rockies. In the summer you can picknick and listen to classical concerts, folk, rock. Sit inside the hall or stay out and continue to picknick, whie the doors are kept open for you to enjoy the music
