It's just dope. Everything about it is rad. The rooms are dope, the food is dope, the staff is dope. It's right in the middle of Hollywood, but when you stay there you don't feel like you're in Hollywood at all.

I'm from NY, lived in NYC and this place would even be cool in NYC. Def gets a Euro crowd of people/actor types that stay there when they are in town for biz. It's got history, great architecture and a great outdoor dining at night for both the food and the scene. Brunch/Lunch also great. If you're in LA, you should def at least get a drink. Might be a little hard to get in on busy nights. Might have to have juice, that's the only downside. Must be Euro friendly to go there.

Female / Los Angeles, CAThe Chateau is a fun place to have dinner. The garden is beautiful and very intimate and definitely the place to be if the weather is warm. Definitely make a reservation though. They won't even let you into the hotel if you aren't on the list downstairs.

This may sound ironic - because their garden is so quaint and lovely - but there's something about this place that seems to make people get into a little bit of trouble and always leave with a story (not necessarily a bad thing!). If you're not visiting a guest or just "dialed like that", you will likely need to make a dinner reservation to get in, and you will have to park elsewhere (there's a valet lot between Bar Marmont and the hotel) and hike up the hill to the entrance. Once inside, it's all legendary Hollywood with a European flair. The penthouse has a terrace with amazing views of the city and is the perfect place to throw a party.

Female / Algonquin, ILA great place to go celebrity-searching, if you're into that sort of thing. If you're not, you should come here anyway, just to experience it. There is a live DJ, the drinks are great, and the decor is creepy-- but in a good way. My friend sat next to Brit Spears (back in her wild days) and lit her cigarette...wow.

That doesn't disappoint in real life! I can attest to the fact that you never know who you'll spy sitting in the garden having a smoke or lounging in a chair amid the arches of the sitting room. To me the patio is a must for lunch or better yet for a date...folowed by a walk next door to the Bar Marmont for a night cap of drinks. The rooms still have a throwback feel, however, you are really paying for the service and ambiance!!
The Dish: Spaghetti Bolognese, it's to die for!
Price: $$$
Tip: Cheap parking next door at Bar Marmont.

Female / 25 / Los Angeles, CALove the Chateau! Great environment and not too crazy, but if you want to add a splash of crazy you can walk over to Bar Marmont. You get the best of both worlds :-) They also have amazing food!
