A Great Place to Meet Friends With a Unique Menu and Bookstore

Busboys & Poets is one of my favorite restaurants in the D.C. area. My first time there was for a friend's graduation party. There seemed to be a wait, so reservations may be necessary, especially when they have special events going on. There is a private room where events are held regularly it seems. There is also an independent bookstore to the side of the restaurant that was fun to browse through.

As for the food, everything I tried there was very delicious and unique. I tried their Sweet Fuji Apple and Gorgonzola with fig spread on walnut raisin bread which was scrumptious, healthy and portion-sized! It did not leave me feeling lethargic afterwards like most restaurants do with their gigantic portions of greasy food. I went a second time with my friend and tried a hot panini. It was their Peanut Butter and Banana with agave nectar....DELISH!! Their hummus is also very good.

Busboys & Poets is very affordable as well. Almost everything on their menu was less than $13, except for a few items. They also have internet access and music events. Go check it out!

Favorite neighborhood spot

I go to Busboys to eat, drink, read books from their bookstore and use their unlimited free wifi. Love having this place in the neighborhood. Definitely worth checking out.
