My family has been hitting the Bijou for weekend breakfast and brunch since 1979. Possibly the best cup of black coffee in Portland accompanies creative dishes like a tofu/garlic scramble or their infamous roast beef hash.
Prepare for a line if you arrive much later than 8am.
