The Inside Word for Akasha

This is a cool place. It is very modern place with the high exposed ceilings, concrete and minimalistic decor. The menu is carefully selected including variety of options to satisfy any taste. I had the salmon and it was delicious. They also have a good selection of wine and great cocktails. It gets packed, so make reservations. Parking might be challenging, but there is a big parking structure on Cardiff. It is a bit on the expensive side but cool place to go to for a change.

Female / 27 / Santa Monica, CAAkasha sounds sinister but is sweet!
It has a very hip, modern feel, and is located in a cool part of Culver City. Definitely make a reservation; I went on a Tuesday and reservations were limited even then! I was very happy with the food and the service. I recommend the scallops which come with black rice and an edamame paste....fantastic! The waiter was entertaining and gave me an honest opinion about the menu. He also recommended a great wine. The cocktails look very interesting -- organic cocktails? -- but unfortunately I didn't try one. Overall, a great experience!

Female / Los Angeles, CAAnother Great Mac & Cheese Stop!
Great wine selection, not as much beer but what they have is great! They also have assorted fun drinks that are great for a girls night.
The food is great for lunch, happy hour or dinner. Los Angeles is blessed with an assortment of great Mac & Cheese choices and Akasha is a FABULOUS example. The pizza is really fun, especially the chicken sausage. The salmon and pork are also amazing!

Wonderful Salmon! If you are prepared to eat loads of starch, the fries and mac and cheese are the best appetizers in town, either one is perfect to share with a couple pals! The food was amazing but the atmosphere was even better. There wine and beer selection is amazing, I didn't even try any of their signature drinks!

It is quite but not eerily dead. The dining area is a little larger than a lot of the stops downtown Culver City and you can take up a bit more space. Have a relaxing lunch even if it's over work, grab a beer and enjoy one of their excellent pizzas! If you want one of their fresh desserts though you are going to have to get there earlier. Not surprisingly, they are gone about halfway through the afternoon.

Female / Culver City, CAI love Akasha!! The service, the onion rings, the bakery, the quinoa...I haven't had a bad dish yet! Make reservations, though; it can be brutal during crunch times.

Tasty, conscious menu served on the bustling strip in Culver City. I saw Ben Ford (chef/owner of Ford's Filling Station from down the block) and Art Smith (best known for being Oprah's chef but more accomplished than just that) eating there together once - you know you're somewhere good if it's where chefs are eating on a night off. Don't want to recommend specific items since the menu is seasonal, but guaranteed everything you eat will be fresh and prepared to enhance the natural flavor of each of the ingredients. Substantial wine and cocktail selection available. Easy free parking provided by the city in lots nearby, as well as valet around the corner from the restaurant.
