LikeMe User Guidelines
The purpose of LikeMe is for everyone to help each other to enjoy life. We hate to state the obvious, but we want to make sure that our community is on the same page about how to use the site and interact with other members.
Here’s a quick list of things to keep in mind while using LikeMe:
Profiles are for people.
We want you to be able to promote your company, business services, products, events or other commercial endeavors as much as you do – and you can do that by using your personal profile to RECOMMEND those things and having your friends and clients do the same. If your business doesn’t fit under one of our categories, you can add it to “Other Stuff.”
LikeMe is for things you like.
LikeMe is where you share the love, not criticize what’s not for you. If you didn’t like a place, or you’re not interested in seeing someone’s recommendations, get acquainted with our “hide” function and the site won’t suggest them to you ever again.
Profiles are public.
You can make your answers to our registration questions private, but the rest is on view for the whole community to see (and enjoy!). Keep that in mind as you upload photos and write Inside Words. Which brings us to our next point…
Keep it clean.
We don’t want to stifle your self-expression, but we also don’t want to offend people surfing the site. If it’s not allowed on network television, it probably doesn’t belong on LIkeMe. And if something bothers you, you can anonymously report it as inappropriate (there’s a link on every page to do so).
Keep photos relevant.
The only images that should be uploaded for a business are images of that business. We love your fun personal photos – but they belong on your profile or as an Inside Word photo.
Respect our community.
LikeMe is all about sharing recommendations to help other people enjoy life! We encourage you to reach out to like-minded people and ask questions about recommendations, but please don't stalk.
Have fun.
Yes, it’s a requirement! And it’s contagious. Try it – you’ll see.
If you ignore these guidelines, you’ll probably hear from us – and we’d rather be out enjoying your recommendations!
